Overview of conference costs

Thanks to the support of member institutions and AGC's generous sponsors, the cost to student delegates for the conference has been kept low. Those who register before April 16 pay the Early Bird Fee of $40 to attend the conference. After that date, the cost is $60 per delegate. All meals, keynotes, panels and receptions are included.

Employers won't want to miss the Career Mixer, a unique opportunity to connect with some of Alberta's brightest. With a roomful of able and innovative graduate students ready to share their ideas, energy and ambition with industry, academic and government representatives, the Career Mixer is an ideal opportunity to spark the type of successful and long-term relationships key to building the talent base of your organization.

Far from the traditional job fair, the AGC Career Mixer focuses on networking, encouraging industry and delegates to cultivate sustainable long term relationships. Industry participants have access to 400 students primed by this multi-disciplinary conference focusing on teaching and supporting them in knowledge translation and career building. Set in a gallery of research posters selected especially for their applicability beyond academia, the afternoon features a bonus event: join us for From the Forge into the Fire, when the best of the best pitch their ideas to a panel of leading experts and investors. In this Dragons' Den style event, competitors need to be innovative and quick if they want to take home the cash prizes available.

Tickets to the Career Mixer are complimentary for employers, but registration is required. And let students know you're keen to talk business by adding value to your presence with a table, space for signage, electricity and wifi for just $125.
